Spacey's Spaceport is now open for limited business.
Some of you may remember a place called Spacey's Spaceport, and most of you may have seen notices recently about it on the mailing list. Well, some time back, during the days of UT2003, the old materials (a Slot 1 P3/667 Coppermine and a Tyan S1834 Tiger 133 motherboard) from which it was constructed started failing, and the Spaceport suffered a catestrophic structural collapse. Well, even with the hard financial times upon which the Spaceport authority (me) has fallen, a major rebuild of the Spaceport was undertaken.
At this point, the Spaceport superstructure looks to be structurally sound, so it is being opened for limited business. However, there is still some work being done on things such as the control system, and there is still some question as to how much traffic the Spaceport will be able to handle. In addition, many of the furnishings and other amenities have yet to be installed. So you will still want to watch out as you pass through doors on the station, and listen for any decompression warnings as work crews attempt to install those various furnishings/amenities. And the Spaceport authority would appreciate any comments, problem reports, and suggestions which you might be able to provide.
For more information about the Spaceport, including regulations, please look here. In addition, if you have not yet received your via to visit Spacey's Spaceport, please send your visa request to the Spaceport Authority.
