BEL Clan Command Structure
It should also be noted that while appearing like a military chain-of-command, this structure is less rigid (it is a game, after all). If a clan leader tells a clan soldier to jump, that soldier has the option to say ``You first!'' However, in doing so, there needs to be reason applied on both sides of this relation. Ill feelings could easily be the result, and folks could find themselves excluded from matches (or denied memebership in the clan) if they gained a reputation of not being a team player.For those familiar with the old structure for BEL clan, they should note that this structure is somewhat simplified. Recruiting, map scouting, ald other similar tasks are the responsibilities of all clan officers.
An additional difference to note is that for the time being, there is no official division of the clan into individual teams. Everyone is a part of the same clan, and should have an equal chance to play if they want. Teams may form within the clan (especially in those cases where two people play very well as a part of the same team), but they are totally unofficial entities for the time being. It should also be noted that because of this, a clan officer (general and commanders) may be a leader in one particular game type, but may easily be a normal combatant in other types of games.
The ranks within the clan, with their clan prefixes, are as follows:

- Clan General
Only 2 BEL's can have this... Rules over all the clan, it is the founder of clan, the successor of founder, the best person capable of position, or best BEL in the clan.

- Clan Commander
1 BEL has this... The clan leader is the leader of everyone in the clan and rules over but reports to and works with the Clan General to determine the overall direction for the clan.

- Squad Commanders
A small number of BEL's have this. Held by the members with the greatest skill and/or longevity, these persons are the officers of the clan. They also have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the clan general and clan leader with the administration (what little there is) and decision making for the clan.
- Arrange matches between clans.
- Help coordinate other team members in matches with other clans.
- Train other clan members in the games and game styles with which they are most familiar.
- Sponsoring persons wishing to become new members.
- Scouting out new servers on which the clan might play.
- Looking for new maps to place on our server.

- Soldiers
These are the members at large within the clan. They have a vote in the clan decisions (which can be overrulled by the clan leadership), and can recommend potential members to the leadership for sponsorship.

These are those members who are currently are on probation with the clan.
